Chunin exam- Atsuo vs KurokuWe've almost reached the end of the tunnel. The chunin exams are almost complete. Through teamwork and perserverance we've conquered each challenge and made it out stronger than before. Even with our team shuffled we pulled through. Hopefully that strength will continue, cause now it's every man for himself. They've paired each genin up with another and now we have to fight. Each match was randomly assigned so some teammates ended up pitted against eachother. It would've been unfortunate had I been paired with our temporary teammate Akaname. She's really nice and I don't know if I'd be able to fight her after knowing her for such a short amount of time. Of course what would've been worse was if I'd been paired with Yukiko… People might say, "now Atsuo why would that be a problem?" Well, I don't know… It just, would… But I digress. Both Akaname and Yukiko had fought already, exceptionally well too, but both Kuroku and I had yet to go.Up next, Kuroku Naichingeru…"Good luck buddy." I sa
Squad E Test 2 Part OneAtsuo and his team stood outside the boundaries of what the genin were told was the "Forbidden Forest." The first phase of the chunin exams were behind them and with pride and excitement they readied themselves to take a leap into whatever challenge was next. All of the genin teams were spread out around the tall fence that enclosed the forest edge, with enough space between each team to put them out of sight from eachother. Clones of Kanmuri sensei came around to hand each team a single scroll and explain the rules all at once. The goal is to reach the temple at the other side of the forest without losing, or opening the scroll. Atsuo knew right away he would be able to fight the urge to learn what the scroll says, and he also knew Kuroku could be trusted… He probably didn't really give a damn. At this point however Akaname was fidgeting a bit and looking around. The scroll was arbitrarily placed in the care of Kuroku, as that was the safest option. At the signal most teams took a str
Chunin exam part 1 ~ Atsuo and Squad EThe dreaded chunin exams, they're finally here. All those academy classes and all that hard work is about to finally pay off… Well, hopefully anyway… Lauren Sempai is feeling very under the weather so Kuroku and I have been paired up with this girl Akaname. We met a couple of days ago, soon after the exam assignments were posted on the village bulletin board. She's pretty and has a trustworthy face. I think we'll work well together. The first round of the chunin exams involves choraling everyone in an auditorium-type room where we take a written exam. The deal is we have to answer one of three prompts on the paper in front of us, but all three must be answered by our entire team. The catch is that we can't communicate verbally with our teammates as to which prompt to do. Kuroku and Akaname are passing me worried glances. How are we going to do this? I can tell that some students are communicating through genjutsu, since they're sitting completely motionless. Then an idea hit me. I pull
Atsuo meets YukikoThe air feels good. Cool. Calm. It'll definitely storm soon. Good. I can see everything from up here on top of a 200 foot tall oak. The part of the forest that consists of these giant oaks, the largest in the world, is not within Omoichidou's village boundaries but I can see the entire village from up here. There's a nice warm, yellow glow coming from the shops and streetlights so it almost seems like Omoichidou is in bubble. The black clouds are drawing nearer and the wind is picking up. Back and forth and back and forth; the trees are blowing in the increasing wind, and the weak of stomach probably wouldn't last long on this joy ride of a tree. There are flashes of lightning growing off in the distance, and I am the tallest thing within miles."Hello?" called a voice.I looked down. A girl."Why are you up there?" she called, "I'm coming up!"She got up to about where I was, and just started talking. You know, way up in a tree, no big deal."I guess you couldn't hear me from all the
